Wilbur Park

Explore this 1.1-mile loop trail near Oneonta, New York. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 25 min to complete. This trail is great for birding, mountain biking, and running.

There is also a playground at the entrance.

Swim at Glimmerglass State Park

Glimmerglass State Park is a 593-acre state park located north of Cooperstown, in Otsego County, New York. While this park is a little further than we typically suggest here we thought it deserved mentioning.

The rolling, partially-wooded terrain is host to a wide variety of wildlife. An uphill trail through the forest affords a spectacular view of Otsego Lake; the Beaver Pond and Woodland trails are picturesque and of interest for the variety of wildflowers, shrubs, ferns and mosses.

The Hyde Hall Mansion, Covered Bridge, and a self-guided Beaver Pond Nature Trail are within park boundaries and open to visitors. Winter visitors can go tubing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, ice fishing, winter hiking.
